According to the study conducted by the Dubai International Academic City or DIAC, there will be a need for almost 75,000 professional educators this coming 2015 in Dubai to fill in labor scarcity especially in education sectors and to have a healthier ranking in the international standards.
A total of 200,000 of manpower opening are expected to occur in 2015, but DIAC director says that at least one fourth of the total number must be filled in. There will be open doors for teachers and professors.
The sector needs lecturers who specialize in accounting, management and even in vocational field. The Director of Education and Skills at Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) believes that the educators are the solution for a greater evaluation rating in the international body.
Education is one of the priorities of the UAE, in fact they are aiming to achieve two goals and that is to be included on the 15 highest performing countries in Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study and the other one is to be one of the 20 highest performing countries in the Pogramme for International Student Assessment.
Moreover, trainings will be provided for the lecturers who will be qualified for the positions because they believe that having the proper training could produce a more effective and consistent educators which could administer proper learning to the students, and The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) will provide the training for GCC teachers.
Hence the study found out that the respondents who prefer to study in other countries such as in Canada, UK, US and in UAE in that order.
