During the 37th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) held in Paris , UAE’s Education Minister conveyed that UAE is a role model in giving.
On his message of peace, the country’s humanitarian solidarity and support worldwide was built on its belief that “the world is big enough for all people and that everyone has the right to a dignified life, health and education”.
He cited some issues such as helping hand to build schools, reclaiming the desert, planting trees and preserving resources and the human heritage in different countries. “This is the message the UAE seeks to promote among all peoples of the world, regardless of gender, color, race and culture, through its close and fruitful partnership with international organizations and Unesco, in particular”, he said.
The Minister also underscored UAE’s experience in development, using its international strategic partnerships and its high ranking on global competitiveness indices which show the country’s advancement in terms of education.
He also advocates law makers and planner to act promptly along with the global developments invigorated by technology and other advances.
He conveyed the greetings from the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates to Unesco. The Unesco General Conference brings together the representatives of all member states every two years at the organization’s headquarters in the French capital.
