Stimulated Indoor Ski Resort, More to Come in Dubai and other Arabian CityWith its goal to create more tourist facilities and location attractions, more indoor sham ski resorts will be built in Dubai. The popular skiing concept started to roll out across Middle East as Ski Dubai, the largest indoor snow park in the Middle East opens its first facility in 2005.
Setting a unique concept of having 85m-high man-made mountain with five runs, has 22,500 square meters of snow and with temperatures kept at between -1C and -20C, given its location in a hot, Arabian city.
CEO of locally based multi-national company said that an estimated $5bn budget will cater their plan expansion over the next five years including replication of the Ski Dubai concept around the region.
Currently, the builder of Ski Dubai is already constructing the same version dubbed as Ski Egypt at the Mall of Egypt in Cairo that will be open to public in 2016
MAF is already building a version, known as Ski Egypt, as part of the under-construction Mall of Egypt in Cairo, which is due to open in 2016.
“One of the things that we now need to do with this public pledge to the market is make sure that we are looking across every single asset, every single business and deliver on those promises. This means in places like Egypt where we’re expanding the Ski Dubai concept… we’re going to look now beyond just Egypt”, the CEO said.
