The Executive Council of Abu Dhabi approved a new free mobile application where Report Incidents Using New Free Mobile Applicationresidents can report all problems, complaints and irregular incidents in the capital city. City Guard, a new and free mobile application available in iPhone, Blackberry and Android phones is directly connected to Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Transport, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and the Health Authority.

CityGuard is a mobile application offered for free to all Abu Dhabi residents, be it UAE nationals, working expatriates, or visitors to the Emirate. Abu Dhabi residents can report any problems around the city by taking a photo, video or audio of any occurrence involving public safety, consumer protection and environmental issues. City guard application has an interactive map to locate the geographical position of the reported incident.

Residents or users can also follow up the reports using the application itself or online through Abu Dhabi Government’s gateway or by calling the contact center on 800 555. With its slogan “Your City, Your Community, Your App”, it aims to increase civic participation and collaboration between the public and the government in order to improve the Emirate at all levels. The Executive Council positively believes that it will boost the confidence among the public, investors and the business sector in particular, in the reliability and flexibility of government services.
