Rabat: According to the Director of the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mining (ONHYM), 2014 will be an extremely important year inPrivate partners to invest 5 Billion in Hydrocarbons and Mining in Morocco terms of investment especially with a budget of over $ 5 billion dirhams allocated by the private partners.

The announcement comes at a time when the United know, in 2014, the drilling of approximately 27 wells in various onshore and offshore sedimentary basins.

According to the director, ONHYM office is involved in the early stages of exploration well in advance especially through promotion to attract private investors both in the field of hydrocarbons mines.

Regarding 2013 the exercise which was marked by a significant increase in research work in the field of hydrocarbons with the participation of 34 partners, experienced a total investment of 2.3 billion dirhams including 58 million dirhams were allocated by the Board.

In the mining division, the Director of the Agency noted that ONHYM acts upstream notably through the signing of partnership agreements with 48 private operators.

It is noted that two other projects will be started early 2015, while two more are planned for 2016 as part of a public-private partnership developed by the Office of systematic way to share the risk in the field of research between the two sectors.
