Soon enough, the long wait will be finally over. This is after UNESCO decided toOne step closer for Casablanca to declare among World Heritage promulgate Casablanca as one of the World Heritage.

It was just last year of November when the Moroccan delegation requested a manuscript on the World Heritage Tentative List from UNESCO. After a couple of months, the lists have been finalized and finally recognized Casablanca architectural heritage.

And last February 14, a cooperation agreement has already been signed by the Minister of Culture Mohammed Amine Sbihi Casamemoire together with architect Rachid Andaloussi.

The Moroccan Association Casamemoire has been given one year to get the project done especially now that they are already on track and now that the prestigious body already noticed the beauty and uniqueness of the city, the remarkable universal value of it.

Aside from Casablanca, there are also 1,000 global locations that have been also recognized by UNESCO, including Jerusalem, Rome and Paris. On this regard, they are also counting on the matter that Casablanca is the sole entry of Morocco to UNESCO.

Although Casablanca has already been included in the lists by UNESCO that does not necessarily mean that they will have increase in financial aids, but they can take this as an advantage in promoting tourism. They also have to be extra meticulous when it comes to renovating and maintaining the site.
