Dubai Inn is the new hotel brand that was launched by Emaar Properties and New Affordable but Elegant Hotel,  Launched in DubaiMeraas Holding that will target affordable travel sector in support to the Dubai Tourism Vision 2020. The new hotels which will be located in several locations around Dubai are expected to create a new experience of affordable elegance.
The increase of annual tourists to 20 million by the turn of the decade is one of the key drivers to achieving the Dubai Tourism Vision 2020 which also mean a need for a wider choice of affordable hotels that appeal to the new generation of travelers.
As per data, 62 percent of the total branded hotel inventory in the city constitutes to 5-star hotel rooms account and nearly 50 per cent of the 42,000 hotel rooms in Dubai are in the luxury and upper scale segments.
Mohammed Al Abbar, chairman of Emaar Properties believed that the new generation of travelers is more discerning and value-conscious and it is important that hospitality sector attend to their needs. By creating a robust pipeline of cheaper hotels under the Dubai Inn brands will attract more visitors from Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the wider Middle East.
The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing speculated that the city has hosted over 10 million tourists last year, while the Dubai International Airport welcomed more than 58 million passengers. Being the world’s second busiest airport, Dubai Airport also provides non-stop connection to over 220 cities in six continents.
Emirates Airline, the city’s flagship carrier has links to over 133 destinations and carried 34 million passengers in 2012 which highlighted the strong potential for Dubai’s tourism and hospitality sector. The growth trends are further bolstered with the rising popularity of low-cost airlines with which the ‘flydubai’ catered over 5.1 million passengers in 2012 and links to over 58 destinations.
