In this perspective, the planned construction of two large hotel units in Mohammedia will reposition the city and open new opportunities for seaside tourism and summer recreation, to contribute to economic and social recovery.

The scheduled opening of Novotel and Ibis in 2017, situated in the center of the seaside resort will certainly boost the capacity of the city. Measuring 7,500 square meters, the first hotel unit which is expected to create 180 jobs will be built with 108 rooms with modern designs, three advanced meeting rooms, a restaurant, hammam, spa and lounge pool. It has a total investment of 135 million dirham. The other hotel unit spreading over an area of 4,000 square meters with a total investment of 90 million dirham will feature 90 rooms, 3 meeting rooms and a lounge restaurant. Job creation is approximately 120 jobs.

As the city of Mohammedia exhibits great tourism potential, both for business trips and vacation, it is imperative to develop the presence of the said hotels in the city.

On the other hand, to ensure the sustainability of the tourism drive, it is important to select and prioritize the attractions for development with regards to their potential. To draw more tourists, the city is encouraging the creation of new hotel units and taking action for the renovation of the old ones, not neglecting the rehabilitation of the Casbah and the conservation of its rich heritage.
