Last December 4, according to the study, Morocco is the main non-European destination for Spanish tourists for the upcoming holidays from January 4 to 6 of the Constitution. “Morocco consolidates the trend in recent years as the main non-European destination” of Spanish tourists during the holiday period, the study stated.
In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s between 1 and 1.5 million visited by European in Morocco and most of the visitors are French and Spanish , with about 100,000 each from Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands.
A total of 800,000 Spanish tourist visited Morocco in the previous year, posting an increase of 4 per cent compared to 2011. Spain is the second largest source of tourists to Morocco after France.
Marrakech, Tangier, Casablanca, Rabat and Fez, followed by Istanbul, and New York are among the top ten popular international destinations during the holiday of the Constitution. Notably, 5 cities mentioned were from the Kingdom of Morocco supporting the statements of the study.
