The Ministry of Environment and Morocco’s High Commission for Water and Forests and the Fight against Desertification inked a treaty on the conservation of biodiversity and wildlife and their habitats.
This pact was signed by HE the Minister of Environment Ahmed Amer Mohamed al-Humaidi and Moroccan High Commissioner for Water, Forests and Desertification Dr Abdel Azim al-Hilfi in the presence of the Ambassador of Morocco to Qatar Al Makki Kwan and other senior officials of the Ministry of Environment .
In this circumstance, this will strengthen the relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Environment said that they are aiming through the signing of the said agreement to boost support between the two countries in order to attain utmost environmental sustainability and development of natural resources via the exchange of experiences, consultation and development of human resources and exchange of visits between the executives of the Ministry of Environment and Morocco’s High Commission for Water and Forests and the Fight against Desertification.
Dr Abdel Azim al-Hilfi stated the understanding is the outcome of improved relations between the two countries under the sponsorships of HH the Emir and the King of Morocco. By inking the agreement, the two countries had prepared suitable framework to stimulate efforts in this vital area to achieve the sustainable advancement between the mentioned countries.
