Canada-based Issmahane Elouafi, is among Most Influential Women Scientists in theMoroccan Scientist Muslim World on a recent list released by English portal Muslim-Science.com.

The 20 most outstanding in the Muslim world women scientists presents their brilliant course that contributes to the development of science in the Arab world. This ranking was made and published for the first time.

Dr. Issmahane Elouafiā€™s winning contribution is about food security. She is the Executive Director of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) in Dubai, holds a PhD in genetics from the University of Cordoba in Spain and has over 15 years of experience in agricultural research.

Prior to becoming CEO of the BWC, Dr. Elouafi held positions management within the Canadian state, including the post of Director of the Division of Research Management and Partnerships Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the position of Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC).

Dr. Elouafi was able to develop strategic partnerships with governments, institutions, universities and private organizations in the field of national and international scientific research.
