The Regional Investment Center has reported a positive momentum of investment for the Meknes-Tafilalet region.
For the first six months of the year the number of certificates issued by the Regional Investment Centre Meknes-Tafilalet has registered a marked increase reaching 1,056 certificates to late July. Of this total shares, 81,8% of the issued certificates was placed at the head of the legal forms for the Limited Liability Company (LLC). The region of Meknes-Tafilalet has also witnessed the growth of entrepreneurship.
Since the start of this year the region has seen the actual creation of 1,084 companies, an increase of 6.5% against the figures gathered same period last year. The LLC remains the most dominant since 63.5% of all businesses are created as limited liability companies. In terms of investment, the companies created during the first half of the year are expected to generate about DH 371,430,000 investment.
The number of business created corresponds to 3,008 jobs created and 34.4% of the businesses ventured in trade against 29.7% in service while the construction industry and public works has a share of 24.6%.
Furthermore, 29 projects were approved in the first half at Meknes-Tafillalet. These projects have total investment of DH885.23 million with a forecast creation of 1,557 jobs. The investment is distributed in different sectors revealing the predominance of the housing sector, which accounts for 50.8% of the total investment. The tourism sector comes second with nearly a quarter of investment, or 24.3%. It is followed by the agri-industry with 11.85% and the trade sector with 6.2%.
