Marhaba Campaign 2014 was successfully launched on June 5, improving the convenience and comfort of the passengers while passing the Tanger-Med Port announced by the Tanger Med Port Authority (MTPA) at the end of Eid El Fitr Holiday.

The Tangier-Med Port has recorded the number of Moroccan passengers are living overseas. The latest statistics indicate that the number of travelers who have returned to Morocco reached 407, 383, which is 15% higher than the same period last year while the transit of vehicles totaled at 113,553, a 16% increase against last year’s record. A peak on the numbers was observed on August 2 to 3, with 44, 680 passengers and 12, 547 vehicles.

To ensure the success of the operation, major changes and improvement were applied on the services of the port.  These include the opening of a new ferry terminal for pedestrians in Tanger-Med Port Center. Boasting with highest standards of quality, the terminal is connected to the city through the Strait railway and bus station. As for the ticketing area found in the port, it has been redesigned to accommodate more passengers and the development of green spaces their comfort.

The main roundabout access to passengers in Tanger-Med has also been restored and expanded for better visibility and safety of passengers.   The boarding area for relaxation has been improved for the convenience of Moroccan Expats in transit. An infirmary, cafes, restaurants, and terraces overlooking the harbor were operated by professionals with international standards.

A radio station was installed to inform and remind travelers continuously regarding the time of departures and arrivals of vessels.
