Rabat: Manufacturing production in Morocco increased by 1.6% in the first quarter of 2014. This result of the world economic recovery, particularly in Europe was reported by the United National Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
After seven quarters of turn down, Morocco is posting development in the production of machinery and equipment, according to the report, noting that developing economies in North Africa have benefited from the world economic recovery, specifically in Europe.
According to the UN specific agency, the manufacturing division came into a phase of regular expansion after a long period of decline, as the world manufacturing production improved by 5.1% in the first quarter of 2014, the maximum rate in the last three years.
An improved financial condition in industrialized countries is the main thing behind the present development, stated in the report which also mentions that industrial emerging economies, except for China, are still experiencing low levels of growth.
