Morocco’s Commission on Planning (HCP) reported that more than half of the total jobs Labor Market In Morocco Reflecting More Jobs For Men In 2013created for this year have benefited men. In the 2nd quarter of 2013, 49,000 in urban areas and 116,000 in rural areas for a total of 165,000 are jobs created on the said period.
The total volume of employment thus rose between the two periods, from 10,707,000 to 10,851,000, which corresponds to a net creation of 144,000 jobs.
By place of residence, these creations have enjoyed exclusively for urban men and women mainly in rural areas. In this context, the employment rate increased from 45% to 44.9% nationally, 37.7% to 37.3% in urban areas and from 56% to 56.4% in rural areas.
HCP added the second quarter of 2013; sectors coming from agriculture, forestry and fishing are those that contributed most to job creation.
Likewise, these have contributed to the creation of 136,000 new jobs, an increase of 3.2% in the volume of employment in the sector while the construction industry has lost 38,000 jobs, a 3.7% decrease in the volume of employment in the sector.
Meanwhile, The Moroccan Ministry of Industry already promised to produce another 1060 job opportunities by means of its partnership with automobile industry companies.
