According to the manager of the terminal, Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), Khalifa Port Container Terminal has taken fifth place in the 2013 Europe Middle East and Africa productivity list.
An independent research firm emphasizing on global trade matter conducted the research and released the list and calculated the number of container shifts per-vessel and per-hour at the ports and marine terminals around the world in 2013.
The Port Productivity rankings were established by assessing 771 terminals, 483 ports and scrutinizing over 150,000 port calls in 2013.
Since the mega-container ships was changed to smaller vessel, turnaround times and throughput time for containers in port productivity are essential indicators for carriers and trade customers in order to comprehend significant cost savings.
