A new group was created by energy ministers of 10 countries to serve as advocated and Global Advocates And Implementers Of Renewal Energy Formed The Renewables Club

“The Renewables Club” is composed of energy professionals and leaders from China, India, United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Germany, Morocco, South Africa, Tonga and United Arab Emirates.
Germany’s Environment Minister Peter Altmaier is the founding member of the group. He says that Renewables Club aims to lead as example by initiating different approach that will contribute to a wide transformation of the energy system globally.
The 10 countries mentioned represents 40% of the total global investments in renewable energy. The members from the 10 countries are the same people who attended the annual Clean Energy Ministerial
The formation of the Renewables Club will work through the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
On their first assembly, ministers signed a report stressing that renewable energy, is an essential part of the solution to the existential challenges we are facing and the means to transform the path to sustainability.
The Ministers of the countries pledged that they will be the forefront of the development and deployment of renewable energy technologies, therefore agree to launch a high-level political alliance to advance the case of renewable energy in particular the objectives and programs of IRENA.
