Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation encourages MoroccanBe More Exertive and Active- Foreign Ministers told Moroccan Envoys Ambassadors in the European Union countries to be more active and take initiatives on taking challenges correlating international transformations.
Challenges including tension spots in the world, particularly in the Sahel region, Africa’s development and growth stakes and, as well as requirements of the Moroccan Sahara issue, need an active and entrepreneurial diplomacy.
He stressed that the Moroccan diplomacy also need to adjust to new elements that shape the public opinion, namely the civil society, parliaments and social networks, adding that the economic dimension is another axis of diplomatic action.
He also underlined the need for thinking over future orientations and priorities of the Moroccan diplomacy in order to be in tune with the vision outlined by King Mohammed VI in his message to the first conference of ambassadors.
The meeting between the foreign ministers and Moroccan ambassadors was also an opportunity to assess progress in partnership between the European Union and Morocco, priorities for 2014 and future challenges and stakes of the advanced status enjoyed by Morocco in its relations with the EU.
