The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new Dubai Ferry line that will service Marina Mall and Al Ghubaiba station through Dubai Creek in order to boost the tourist marine transport sector in Dubai.
According to the Director of Marine Transport, Public Transport Agency at the RTA, the service will be available at 1 p.m. and 6:30 in the evening offering several options for individuals and families and drawing new users to the Dubai Ferry. Measuring 32×8 meters, it can accommodate 100 passengers and can travel at 24 knots per hour, and features high-quality and trendy entertainment channels for riders.
The Dubai Ferry is considered the latest and largest marine transit mode of the RTA in Dubai used to offer additional express transit services to serve new districts, particularly along the Creek, coastal strip, Jumeirah Beach, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, and Waterfront projects.
The RTA is always eager to provide secure, smooth and sophisticated mass transportation services to go along with the range of activities happening in the city particularly in all sporting, social, and economic events among other events held at the local, regional or international levels by different bodies in Dubai to elevate the standing of the emirate as a leading tourist, business and service center worldwide.
As part of the strategic plan of Marine Transport in Dubai, the Dubai Ferry must put in a notable service to the marine transport network of Dubai and for that reason; it will convey a movement in the quality of services offered to residents and tourists within the vicinity of the Dubai Creek, tourist spots and riversides in the emirate. It also provide to the needs of residents and tourists and a chance to organize their private events on the high seas at reasonable rates, and enjoy the experience riding the Dubai Ferry.
