The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has revealed that work on a new Dh170 million water pipeline project which will provide water through a group of networks broadening 25 kilometres into different areas of the emirate, has started.
The project will distinguish 17 water distribution locations installed, which the government body states will extend water transportation between the main lines, improve water flow to the city, and guarantee a constant water supply.
The DEWA MD and CEO, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer quoted that the execution of the plan and its determined plans come to meet the need of the complete improvement of the power and water supply to meet Dubai’s Strategic Plan and the recent and upcoming needs for water in Dubai.
He also stated that the authority plans to increase the competence and capability of its water and electrical energy infrastructure to supply a more proficient service to its clients, as well as businesses and developers, which remain to expand in Dubai.
Finishing point of the mentioned project is due by the end of 2015.
