The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) created a plan to generate 700 jobs for UAE Capital City Educational Institution To Create 700 Emirati Jobscitizens as school bus supervisors.
ADEC says that this is a joint project with Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council to achieve the said goal. “Adec is keen to Emiratise the bus supervisor position in a 100 per cent capacity,” Mohammed Al Dhaheri, executive director of school operations at Adec, said yesterday.
About 1,791 school buses are being managed by ADEC in Abu Dhabi and will add another 76 buses this coming school year to cater new areas including New Al Falah.
2013 is the year of Emiratisation as proclaimed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice-President and Ruler of Dubai.
Along with the program is the Ministry of Social Affairs endeavor to encourage unemployed Emirate women on welfare to become public school bus administrator.
Under the ministry’s Work is Life programme, they will be offered a monthly salary of Dh6, 000 – far higher than the Dh1, 500 for expatriates – to attract them into taking the jobs.
