The Arsat Moulay Abdeslam Cyber Park has obtained the “Certificate of Excellence 2014” from a renowned travel website for showcasing rich Moroccan heritage, hospitality and service. It is said that only 10% of the most successful establishments on the travel site have received this prestigious award.
Spanning for more than eight acres, the Cyber Park is situated in the heart of Marrakech boasting with a remarkable variety of plants. It has been fully landscaped and revamped during the period of 2002 to 2003 by Morocco Telecom under the management of the King and his Foundation for the Protection of the Environment.
The award was given as recognition for the excellence in facilities and attractions of the said park; it is also based on the quality of the judgment, reviews and opinion of travelers on the travel site.
Due to the new telecommunications technologies that have been launched, the park is now considered as a place of memory but also a symbol of modernity. The park offers free various multimedia booths to nearly 2,500 visitors who can get free multiple multimedia kiosks installed every day. A museum dedicated to Morocco’s telecommunications history was also constructed to visitors to travel back in time.
Furthermore, the operator has been in collaboration with the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment for several projects and has participated in the Voluntary Carbon Offsetting program, reforestation and rehabilitation of Maamora forest and its assistance and support to the Clean Beaches operation.
