Al Bateen Executive Airport has announced a 25% increase in commercial aircraft movements during April 2011 compared with the same period in the previous year. The airport operated and managed by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is the first and only dedicated private aviation airport in the Gulf has noted to continue to register high double digit growth in its commercial aircraft movements from both based and visiting aircraft operators.
An upward trend was seen in traffic as operators and their clients get more familiar with Al Bateen Executive which figure follows hard on the heels by 18% growth in the first quarter of 2011 activity compared to the first quarter of 2010. The result was an outcome of the revision of aeronautical charges and the introduction of the new instrument landing system (ILS) that boasted traffic immeasurably.
The Al Bateen is getting on the map and encouraging much of growth which is coming from visiting or from overseas aircraft. It has a raft of improvements to make that will deliver an even more attractive proposition for crew and passengers.
