Marfa Port located at the north end of Marfa City will received AED17M investment as per AED17M to be invested by ADPC for improvement of Marfa Portthe announcement made by the Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC). The first phase includes improvement of maritime leisure facilities and development of port infrastructure while the second phase will focus on developing the landside facilities of the port.

The port is popular for its fishing, water sports and leisure boating. Mirfa Port has direct water access to the Gulf.

The first phase involves installation of floating pontoons that will provide 105 new berths. It will also provide additional space for net repairs, offload catch and will enable the fishermen to keep their boats in the water.

The second phase will develop landside infrastructure and provide new marina facilities such as building for fisherman’s association, new fish market and amenities like café, small supermarket and restaurant. There will also be retail units for maintenance businesses, provide around 240 new berths for boats, shaded dry dock area for boat maintenance and a large paved area for boat parking.
