A Dhs25 million worth of flight simulator training center is about to be built in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Aviation confirmed that they will be investing for this modernistic project.
The said training center is going to be constructed near the Etihad offices in Abu Dhabi. According to the adviser, the center will specifically hold first helicopter simulators of the region.
The main purpose of this depot is to serve as a training camp for their own pilots and members of the UAE army and police force. This will also benefit the foreign-based pilot students.
They believe that this whole thing is going to be very pragmatic because it will not only provide for the region but also it can the neighbor countries like Saudi Arabia, Africa, Oman and India as they can see that the countries might show interest on this.
Considering that Abu Dhabi Aviation is the largest commercial helicopter operator in the Middle East, they will use the 7,500 meters of the property for the said project, which will be able to hold eight flight simulators. Added to this, Abu Dhabi Aviation is pushing to launch it on the mid part of 2015.
An AW319 helicopter simulator is going to be used on the center, and they are planning to purchase more simulators once the center opens.
